Discovering the True Source of Worth
Hey there — my name is Rick Dieterle, and I’m the host of The Who Are You Podcast. This show was created to help Christians like you and me step into the abundant life that Jesus called us to live.
For years, I didn’t always do that. I wasted so much time chasing validation — trying to find my worth in what other people thought of me, in my job title, or in what I could achieve. On the surface, those things looked fulfilling, but deep down, it always felt empty. And I was left trying to fill myself back up again.

The Empty Promise of External Validation
When you live for the approval of others, your identity is constantly shifting. One moment you feel confident because someone praises your work, and the next you’re discouraged because you didn’t meet someone’s expectations. I know that cycle all too well — it drains your joy and keeps you from seeing who you truly are in Christ.
The truth is, no career, accomplishment, or relationship can give you lasting worth. Those things can be blessings, but they were never meant to define us.
Rediscovering Who You Are in Christ
Over time, God began to show me that I already have everything I need in Him. I don’t have to strive or prove my value — it’s already been given. Scripture reminds us that we are God’s masterpiece, created in Christ Jesus to do good works (Ephesians 2:10).
That realization changed everything for me. Instead of living for approval, I began living from approval — the approval that comes from knowing I am a child of God.
An Invitation to Live Abundantly
That’s what The Who Are You Podcast is all about: learning to see yourself the way God sees you, so you can walk in confidence, peace, and purpose.
You don’t have to earn your identity. You already have it. It’s time to stop chasing validation and start living the abundant life that Jesus promised.
